Going Down Intro

from Red Lipstick Demo by David Stewart Jr

/

about

"Going Down Intro" came out of pure fun and experiment. It preludes the main track of the album "Red Lipstick" because we felt it had the strongest introduction and a very fun, different, blues-hard rock oriented sound. The lyrics talk of a girl whose "going down" into hell, and the singer is devil; kind of like paying a toll to the Rolling Stone's "Sympathy for the Devil" track when I say "Can you guess my name?". The song later goes on to feature Brandon Mijares on bass and Juan Carreña on lead guitar, and a neo classical orchestrated piece to transition between "Going Down Intro" and "Red Lipstick".

lyrics

(Intro)

She's got the walk of a beauty queen,
She doesn't know what she wants.
She's been left alone and in between,
The lines of fortune and flaunts.
So she's going down, down,... down

I'm getting curious, can you guess my name?
I'm pretty sure that you know me real well.
You think your hand are clean, but I can tell by the smell that your hands have been where,
They just shouldn't be.
You think your innocent, but your going down, down,...down.

(Bass Solo)

You think you had it made, but you going down, down,...down.

(Guitar Solo)
